What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide reporting information to site owners.
How Kod5 Uses Browser Storage
Kod5 does not set any first-party tracking cookies. The only browser storage used by our own code is localStorage for one purpose:
- Theme preference — When you switch between dark and light mode, the choice is saved under the key
theme. This data stays entirely on your device, is never transmitted to our servers, and is not accessible to any third party.
Why No Cookie Consent Banner
Because Kod5 does not set first-party tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies, a cookie-consent banner is not displayed. The minimal use of localStorage for theme preference falls outside the scope of GDPR and ePrivacy consent requirements.
Third-Party Services
Some third-party services embedded on Kod5 may set their own cookies. These are outside Kod5's direct control:
Google Fonts
Pages that load fonts from Google Fonts may cause Google to log the request, including your IP address and browser information. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ for details.
YouTube
Links to our YouTube channel are provided. Visiting YouTube may set cookies per Google's own cookie policy.
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies or accept them only from specific sites. Note that blocking cookies may affect the functionality of other websites, but will not affect Kod5's core tool functionality.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by a revised "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
