What is Kod5?

Kod5.com is a free online platform of engineering calculators, mechanical reference tools, and web utilities. Every tool runs entirely in the browser — no installation, no account, and no cost required.

The site covers a wide range of technical disciplines: mechanical design, fluid systems, quality assurance, ISO standards, IT utilities, and more. Whether you are working through a bolt torque calculation, generating a DXF file, or looking up an ISO tolerance, Kod5 aims to give you the answer quickly and accurately.

Background

Kod5 was created by a mechanical engineer who grew tired of switching between spreadsheets, heavy desktop software, and scattered reference books for routine calculations. The goal was simple: put reliable, well-structured tools online where anyone can reach them from any device.

The platform has grown steadily since launch, with new tools added based on real engineering workflows and user feedback. All tools are built with accuracy and usability in mind, and the source for many of them is published on GitHub.
